Christian Barnekow graduated in Economics and Business Administration from Lund University, Lund, Sweden. He was a sales manager at Electrolux in Mexico City, Mexico,  nd the General Manager of Nestor Martin (part of the Electrolux Group) in Brussels, Belgium. He was then the Director for Europe for Oriflame International, also based in Brussels. He was one of the founders and the CEO of MVI International, a private equity company based in Nyon, Switzerland. He is now living in Stockholm, Sweden.

Prof. Christer Lindquist

Prof. Christer Lindquist, MD, PhD, is trained in Neurosurgery at the University of Texas and at the Karolinska Institute. Professors Lars Leksell and Ladislau Steiner were his mentors. He was the Head of the Karolinska Gamma Knife Center, and Professor of Neurosurgery and chief of the New England Gamma Knife Center at Brown University. He was the former President of the Leksell Gamma Knife Society, and President of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS). Christer is the author of numerous papers on radiosurgery. Professor Lindquist has been a visiting professor to numerous institutions in the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan and other Asian countries. He is currently the Medical Director of the Cromwell Gamma Knife Center, London. Dr. Lindquist currently lives in London, UK.

Prof. Richard Weiner, MD, FACS, is a member of Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine Associates and practices at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He is a clinical associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center(UTSW). Dr. Weiner’s practice involves treatment of all aspects of General and Microneurosurgery for the brain and spine as well as vascular neurosurgery. His clinical interests include stereotactic radiosurgery (Gamma Knife), multi-modality treatment of malignant and benign brain tumors, and surgery for spinal disorders of the neck and back. Dr. Weiner has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and medical textbooks on a variety of clinical issues.

Dr. Maria Claudia Mallarino, Is a Medical Oncologist of Colombian origin, partner in the largest oncology practice in the USA, Florida Cancer Specialists, based in Sarasota, Florida. After her doctor’s degree from the Military university in Colombia, she did a fellowship and a post-doctoral fellowship in oncology at Stanford University. She then became an assistant professor in oncology at Texas Tech University. Maria Claudia brings to MRC 20 years of experience in Medical Oncology.

Jonas has a vast experience in international business development and management, having held several managerial positions at a multinational company in Europe, Asia and Africa. He was a partner in a management consulting and forensic auditing firm based in Miami, Florida, with special focus on the healthcare industry, such as the restructuring of a group of nursing homes; he has been project consultant responsible for the overall FDA approval procedures of medical implants in the USA. He was the president of a marketing, information, booking and logistics company for surgeons worldwide. As a consultant, he was responsible for the negotiation of radiosurgery and radiotherapy ventures throughout Latin America. He currently lives in Miami, Florida.

Michael Nearing, Attorney, is a Graduate University of Pennsylvania School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who is specialized in business, business structure, business transactions and finance. He is a General Counsel to U.S. publicly traded (NYSE) company; experienced in finance, stock issuance, reporting and governance. Mike has extensive international experience in business formation, development and operations. He is the Founder and CEO of four international aviation businesses: air charter and aircraft maintenance in Central America, Central Africa and Eastern United States.

Dr. Aizik Wolf

Dr. Aizik Wolf, Recently joined MRC’s Medical Review Board. Dr. Wolf is the Medical Director of the Miami Neuroscience Center, one of the nation’s premier Gamma Knife surgery programs. He is Board-certified in adult and pediatric neurosurgery. He earned his medical degree from Yale Medical School and completed his internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minnesota and resident at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He trained in Gamma Knife radiosurgery at Brown University in Rhode Island. He was formerly chief of the Epilepsy, Gamma Knife and Skull Base Surgery Unit at the University of Maryland, where he also served as professor of neurology and neurosurgery. Dr. Wolf has performed more than 7,000 Gamma Knife treatments, has authored more than 90 scientific articles, and travels worldwide to lecture on Gamma Knife and minimally invasive neurosurgery.
